Hubspot is a great tool – and even greater because of the way you can integrate SO many CRMs into it without any developer help. No resource heavy API tie ins needed.
I helped an early client with Hubspot, before I knew about Zapier, and we did the standard integration route – using developers to hook their CRM with Hubspot through the API. They were excellent developers, but it still took weeks to get setup because of all the moving parts. Using an API to sync two software tools together requires coding knowledge, access to the lower levels of the software being synced, and often some extra coordination between the development teams at both companies.
What alternatives are there to using an API for integrating your CRM with Hubspot?
Now when I help clients I always check first to see if there is the CRM is a supported app in Zapier. In most cases it is – most of the well established and powerful CRMs are already in Zapier. Whether you’re integrating your CRM with Hubspot or another marketing tool, Zapier can often connect the two – saving you a lot of time, money and hassle over using an API to connect the two.
While most of my Hubspot/Zapier video series shows you exactly how to setup the tools I’m highlighting – the below video lays the framework. Each CRM is different, so highlighting the setup of CRMs would be difficult in a video. If you’d like to get a general idea of how easy it is to use Zapier and Hubspot, watch the video at the bottom of my article on how to Get Leads Fast with Hubspot and the Zapier Email Parser.
The CRMs that work with Hubspot (or any other marketing tools) include:
- Zoho CRM
- Base CRM
- Highrise CRM
- Capsule CRM
- Sugar CRM
- Nutshell CRM … and several more!
The above video should help you get a better idea of your different options for integrating your CRM with Hubspot or other marketing tools you may be using.
